Working From Home? Try These Daily Beauty & Wellness Tips

Waking up a little later than usual, working out, enjoying your morning breakfast in peace and even meditating before zoning straight into work mode is top tier! Working from home definitely has its perks.

However, working from the comfort of your home can also make you complacent about properly caring for your skin. For instance, let’s be real with each other for a moment; most people only moisturise after having a bath/ shower and if you’re working from home, you may not have a shower/ bath until much later in the day which means you may not moisturise all day.

Juggling between household tasks, attending virtual meetings and meeting deadlines may leave you with no time to give some extra love to your skin.

But worry not, keep reading for tips on how to care for your skin while working from home.

Start your day by exercising

Exercising plays a major role in achieving breakout-free, younger-looking skin.

Dermatologists say that the immediate effects include “increased blood flow to the skin and increased lymph flow, which decreases puffiness of skin”. Therefore, while you get to skip the time commuting to work to sleep in a little bit; be sure to spare some time to work out too.

Remember to cleanse

We all know that our skin needs regular cleansing. Daily cleansing with our Liquid Black Soap (as soon as you wake up, after exercises and before bed) will help to keep your pores clean and control excess sebum, bacteria and blackheads.

Indulge in face massages

Face massages are considered to be the best way to soothe your skin. You can add this to your skincare routine while using your Shea, Baobab or Coconut Oil. This will calm your mind and relax your face muscles.

Don’t forget to moisturise your natural hair

It is easy to just throw your hair into a ponytail or a protective style when you’re working from home (and keeping your camera off during those zoom calls). However, giving some extra time and attention to your hair during this time will go a long way. Regularly moisturise your natural hair with Baobab Oil whether it’s in protective styling or not. This will help your hair with the appropriate nutrients for growth and strength.

Light scented candles

This is one of our favourite perks of working from home. You get to turn your workspace at home into a serene and comfortable place. That is, burning candles that smell amazing which will, in turn, help you improve your focus while you work.
